Durham, NC – The Triangle Blues Society 2019 Blues Challenge originally scheduled for Sunday, August 4, 2019 has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 1, 2019, 3-8pm at The Blue Note Grill, Durham NC. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door and online.

There will also be 2 raffles: a 50/50, plus tickets to win a 1995 Stratocaster completely reworked with a new Fender neck, valued at $800 – $1000 and generously donated by Auman Parrish. Only 200 tickets will be sold. $20 each or 3 for $50. Drawing date will be by Dec. 31, 2019.

The TBS Blues Challenge is a local blues competition in two categories – solo/duo and band. Winners earn the right to travel to Memphis, TN, to further compete in the 35th International Blues Challenge (IBC) held January 28–February 1, 2020. The IBC is sponsored by The Blues Foundation (BF) and consists of winners from affiliate societies worldwide.

TBS sponsors the annual Blues Challenge and works with winners throughout the process to raise the money to support their travel to the IBC. TBS Corporate Sponsors include The Blue Note Grill, Stage Left Audio Productions, and SweetWater Farm.

Triangle Blues Society (TBS), is a 501(c3) all-volunteer non-profit organization that has been an affiliate of the Blues Foundation since 1996, working together to support, promote, and grow blues music in the greater Raleigh-Durham North Carolina area.
